Welcome to Prompt Sloth. By using our Chrome extension and website, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Service

Prompt Sloth provides a Chrome extension that:

  • Improves and optimizes AI prompts in any text box
  • Offers pre-made community templates
  • Allows creation and storage of custom templates
  • Uses AI to enhance prompt quality via quick actions
  • Provides ::keyword template insertion shortcuts

2. Account and Authentication

  • You must create an account using Google OAuth to use the service
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • One account per person
  • You must provide accurate information
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

3. Credits and Pricing

Free Credits:

  • New users receive free credits upon signup
  • Free credits allow you to try the service

Paid Credits:

  • Additional credits can be purchased through our payment system
  • Credits are non-refundable once purchased
  • Credits do not expire
  • Pricing is subject to change with notice

Usage:

  • Each AI-powered quick action (Improve, Shorten, etc.) consumes credits
  • Template insertion does not consume credits
  • You are responsible for monitoring your credit balance

4. Data Storage and Security

What We Store:

  • Your Google account information (email, profile)
  • Custom templates (encrypted on our servers)
  • Credit balance and usage history
  • Basic usage analytics

What We Don't Store:

  • Your actual prompts or improved text
  • Browsing history or activity
  • Content from websites you visit

Security:

  • Custom templates are encrypted before storage
  • Data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections

5. AI Processing

  • Prompt improvements are processed using OpenAI's API
  • By using quick actions, you agree to OpenAI's terms of service
  • We are not responsible for the content generated by AI
  • AI-generated content should be reviewed before use

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the service for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to abuse, hack, or disrupt the service
  • Create fake accounts or abuse free credits
  • Generate content that violates OpenAI's usage policies
  • Resell or redistribute the service
  • Use the service to generate spam, malware, or malicious content

7. Intellectual Property

Our Property:

  • The Prompt Sloth software, design, branding, and code remain our property
  • You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the service

Your Property:

  • Your custom templates belong to you
  • Content you generate using the service belongs to you
  • You grant us permission to store your templates to provide the service

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • OpenAI API for prompt processing
  • Google OAuth for authentication
  • Payment processors for credit purchases

These services have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Limitations and Disclaimers

Service Availability:

  • We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
  • Features may change, be added, or removed at our discretion
  • We may suspend service for maintenance or updates

No Warranties:

  • The service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or quality of AI-generated improvements
  • We are not liable for any loss of data, credits, or templates

Limitation of Liability:

  • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the past 12 months
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations

10. Refunds

  • Credits are generally non-refundable
  • Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion for service failures or errors
  • Contact us for refund requests within 7 days of purchase

11. Termination

By You:

  • You may delete your account and stop using the service at any time
  • Unused credits are forfeited upon account deletion

By Us:

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • We may discontinue the service with 30 days notice
  • Refunds for unused credits may be issued at our discretion

12. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these terms at any time
  • Changes will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date
  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
  • Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification

13. Governing Law
